Biography | Michelle A. Green

Michelle A. Green is a Los Angeles–based Costume Designer who brings characters to life through intentional, story-driven costumes. Her love of design started young, grew through formal training at Syracuse University and the London College of Fashion, and led her into projects across film, television, and theater — including award winning series like "13 Reasons Why" and "Queen Sugar."

What she brings to a production is simple: calm leadership, collaborative energy, and a department that runs smoothly, respectfully, and drama-free. She believes Costume Design only works when everyone; actors, producers, directors, department heads, and my crew, feel apart of the storytelling. That team-first approach keeps camera moving, avoids surprises, and creates a cohesive world on screen.

She designs with both vision and budget in mind, crafting looks that feel authentic to the world while staying realistic about time and resources. Whether the story is period, contemporary, or fantasy, she focus on details that make characters feel lived-in and believable, like they could step off the screen and into real life.

At the heart of everything she dose is with one goal in mind: to take what’s on the pages and turn it into a visual language that strengthens performance, supports the director’s vision, and elevates the entire production. That is her Costume Designing!
